The aftermath: Security tightened in state

KOCHI/THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:: Security has been tightened in the state following the blast outside Delhi High Court.Anti-sabotage teams have been deployed at important locations, including airports, railway stations, bus stands, government offices, courts and hospitals.Special stress is given to cover all government buildings.DGP Jacob Punnoose has directed all City Police Commissioners and District Superintendents of Police to step-up patrolling in the cities and towns and stay alert.The state police have all the more reasons to press the panic button since a militant organisation Harkat- ul-Jehadi Islami has claimed responsibility for the blast.In Kochi, a tight security apparatus is in place and senior police officials are monitoring the security scenario.The High Court premises are also under tight security blanket.
