What would you call a sport where you roll along downhill in a bubble? For the uninitiated this is called zorbing.

New Delhi: New Zealand is a hotbed for extreme sports with adrenaline junkies from all over the world travelling there to get their fix.

"Hands up in the air, here we go. Three, two, one, bungee!" That's a bunjee jumping instructor letting go of an eager, perhaps scared, adventure seeker.

New Zealand is one of the world's safest tourist destinations. There are no deadly snakes or dangerous animals and life expectancy is among the highest in the world.

But if you like thrills, they're never too far away. For example bungee jumping, jet boating or even being blown in the air.

But what would you call a sport where you roll along downhill at fearful speeds inside a bubble? For the uninitiated this is called zorbing.

Kelly Hemana, manager of the Zorb Rotorua in Rotorua, New Zealand, says: "We're brought up to invent things, we're brought up to make things. I think it's just a part of our culture to try new things - try crazy things and Zorbing is just a part of it."

It's basically strapping yourself into a bubble or plastic spheres, and there you go. Just be sure not to get sick.

So if you're impressed with the Zorbonauts, whats stopping you? Go ahead and try it out.

What's your reaction?
