HYDERABAD: The Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) has decided to target establishments and institutions belonging to Seemandhra leaders, who are lobbying against the formation of a separate Telangana State, from August 1.The decision was taken at a meeting of the TJAC steering committee here on Tuesday. The meeting, chaired by Prof Kodandaram, was attended by political and non-political leaders. The TJAC believes that this is the right time to go for the kill. Hence, the decision to launch direct political attacks — not only against the leaders lobbying in Delhi against the T demand but also against several elected representatives of the region who have not resigned like Petroleum Minister S Jaipal Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha. The TJAC further decided to organise mock funerals and other programmes on July 22 in all the constituencies of MPs and MLAs who are not supporting the T movement. The TJAC called upon all the T activists to observe July 25 as “Telangana Day” and change the names of all government and non-government name plates accordingly from village level to the State level.
