Turning Kochi into green land

KOCHI: On its 10th anniversary, City Express launched ‘Green Kochi’, in what was called ‘a final attempt to reclaim the green pastures of Kochi.’ As part of the campaign, conferences and interviews with experts from various fields were held. Detailed articles on  the green issues faced by the  city were published.Extending the whole-hearted support of the Kochi Corporation to the ‘Green Kochi’ campaign, Mayor Tony Chammany said the  suggestions put forth by environmentalists and experts during the campaign would be presented at the Development Summit that will be organised in the city soon. “We will present the major recommendations made by the experts during the Green Kochi campaign at the Development Summit held in the city. The date of the summit will be finalised according to the convenience of the Chief Minister,” Tony Chammany told City Express.
