Security forces have launched a search operation in the area to trace the militants.
Srinagar: Two Army jawans were injured in an encounter with security forces in south Kashmir's Pulwama district early Saturday morning.
Troops of 55 Rashtriya Rifles launched a cordon cum search operation in Inder village of Pulwama district, 40 kms from here, at around 4.00 am, official sources said.
As the troops closed in on the target house, the militants opened indiscriminate firing, resulting in injuries to two jawans.
The injured jawans have been admitted to a hospital where their condition is stated to be out of danger, the sources said.
