Two die as lorry collides with car

TRIPUNITHURA: Two passengers of a Tata Nano car died after a speeding tipper rammed into a Nano car at Kochupally near Udayamperoor on Sunday. The deceased are Ajayakumar, 56, Mangalathu Veettil, Muhamma, Cherthala and his nephew Vishnu, 23.After hitting the car, the tipper dragged it forward for around 50 metres before smashing onto a Scorpio.  K R Sheeja,45 wife of Ajayakumar got trapped in the back seat, as the car was jammed between the tipper and the Scorpio.  She has been admitted to Medical Trust Hospital, Kochi, with serious injuries.Ajayakumar died on the spot and Vishnu was declared brought dead at a private hospital at Tripunithura.  He is survived by daughter P S Ankitha  and son P A Akhil.   Ajayakumar and family was on their way to invite  a relative Vijayalakshmi, who reside near Kochupally, for the marriage of his daughter to be held on November 2.   The tipper lorry driver fled from the scene and the Udayamperoor police, the Fire and Rescue Services Personnel and the locals had to work hard to take the bodies of the victims out of the car.
