Two government officials were on Friday arrested for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 15,000 from a contractor in Bhilwara, police said.
Jitendra Singh, Secretary, Krishi Upaj Mandi Samiti of the Rajasthan State Agricultural Marketing Board and Jagdish Bhadra, clerk at the Samiti were arrested for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a contractor for passing bills, they said.
According to Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sources, a proper verification of the complaint by the contractor was done.
A trap was laid and the accused men were arrested while accepting the bribe, the source said.
