Attack on the Manipuri boys comes even as people from the Northeast are protesting across the nation demanding security.
New Delhi: Even as the debate over safety of people from north east gains heat, two Manipuri boys were attacked in Delhi's Ambedkar Nagar area on Sunday night.
Unidentified men attacked the boys who are in their early 20s in Ambdekar Nagar at around 10 PM on Sunday.
The victims were rushed to a hospital from where one of them has been discharged while the other continues to be under treatment.
Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi assured that a case would be registered in the matter. "We will soon be registering a case in this matter," he said.
Attack on the Manipuri boys comes after a student from Arunchal Pradesh lost his life allegedly in a brawl with shopkeeper in Lajpat Nagar in January.
