UDF government undermining state Tribunal

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former Law minister M Vijayakumar has alleged that the UDF Government was trying to undermine the functioning of State Administrative Tribunal (SAT). The Tribunal was instituted by the former LDF Government to expedite the cases related to the government servants which were lying pending in the High court.
The SAT comprising of High Court justice, two judiciary members and three administrative members were selected by a fivemember panel which was chaired by the HC Chief Justice.In a press meeting held here on Monday, Vijayakumar criticised the decision of the Cabinet recommending the Centre to withdraw the panel was illegal and beyond comprehension.
