New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is apparently annoyed with its own MP from Darbhanga Kirti Azad over raising the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) issue in the Lok Sabha.
Situation turned bitter after Azad went ahead with the press conference - dragging Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in the alleged DDCA scam. It was learnt that the central leadership is very angry with Azad for reportedly turning down party President Amit Shah's request to stop the DDCA issue further. They also suspect that Congress President Sonia Gandhi might prompt Azad to rake up the issue.
On the context of Jaitley's civil defamation suit against Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and five other Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, Azad on Monday told CNN-IBN, "I am not a supporter of AAP but I am disappointed that my name is not in the list."
"The defamation should happen against me. The unfortunate part is I didn't get any notice," he added.
When asked what would be his stand if BJP will take action against him, he said, "I don't have any personal enmity with anyone in the party. My fight is against corruption. I am not against the party but I am against the corruption in DDCA. Do you think that party will take action against me for raising the corruption issue in the parliament?"
"I wish the defamation case was against me. I am the one who raised this issue," Azad said.
Recently, Azad dragged Jaitley over alleged irregularities at the DDCA scam and in turn the Union Finance Minister had hinted that the cricketer turned politician (Azad) had met Congress President Sonia Gandhi to fix him in the case.
However, Azad rubbished the allegation and tweeted, "I took instructions from Cong-I President?! We have been fighting since 9 years, shown fraud companies, with fraud Banks A/C what more."

Meanwhile, the Congress party pressed for the resignation of Jaitley in the alleged DDCA scam.
