Unhappy Ola Customer Sets Showroom on Fire In Karnataka Over Scooter Repair Woes
Disgruntled Ola Electric customer allegedly set fire to a showroom in Kalaburagi after unresolved repair issues with his scooter. No casualties reported

A 26-year-old man set fire to an Ola Electric showroom in Kalaburagi, North Karnataka, on September 10, following frustrations over unresolved issues with his electric scooter.

Mohammad Nadeem purchased the scooter on August 28 but faced repeated problems that the showroom staff failed to address despite his multiple visits, Moneycontrol reported, citing police sources.

According to police, Nadeem bought petrol and ignited the showroom in anger after feeling neglected by the staff. Earlier, authorities suspected the fire was caused by a short circuit. However, an investigation revealed the deliberate act of arson.

The fire resulted in the destruction of six scooters, but fortunately, no casualties were reported as the showroom was closed at the time. Fire safety officials quickly arrived on the scene to extinguish the flames.

Kalaburagi Chowk police have registered a case and taken Nadeem into custody for questioning. This incident follows a similar fire at an Ola showroom in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, just two weeks prior. Ola Electric has not yet commented on the situation.
