New Delhi: US military prosecutors are demanding the death penalty for prime accused in the 9/11 case Khalid Sheikh Mohammad.
He and five others have been charged by the Guantanamo War Court with planning and executing the attack on the World Trade Center.
Khalid, a Pakistani national, confessed to planning the attack when he was subjected to waterboarding - an interrogation technique of simulated drowning widely criticised as torture.
And that could make his confession inadmissible as evidence in court.
But the court in this case is a military tribunal which may see the legal issue differently.
