In a brutal incident in Nehtaur in Uttar Pradesh, a woman has been caught on camera allegedly trying to strangulate her own mother-in-law, who is reportedly 70 years old. The accused woman Sangeeta Jain is seen attacking her mother-in-law with stones and rope and dragging her down from the bed.
Reportedly, Sangeeta and her husband Sandeep Jain have been married for 7 years and a divorce case is going on. She also allegedly filed a false report against her husband.
Recalling the incident, the victim said that her daughter-in-law attacked her mercilessly. "My daughter in law attacked me, she slapped me again and again. She hit with me a hard stone. There was no fight at all," she said.
The CCTV video of the incident has gone viral on social media. Activist Kundan Srivastava who shared this video on his Facebook page claimed that police booked Sangeeta Jain early on Tuesday morning for attacking her mother-in-law.
Kundan Srivastava had reached out to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and had appealed to take action against Sangeeta.
