BANGALORE: Chennai-based Ti Anode Fabricators has come out with a solution to the fuel woes of lakhs of people in the country. With the ‘HHO Generator’, a two-wheeler owner can save up to 30 per cent of fuel costs while four-wheeler owners and power producing gensets can save up to 10-20 per cent in fuel expenses. The model has been displayed at Renewable Asia 2012 expo. Its advantages include doubling of engine life and zero pollution. The HHO Generator technology works on the principle of electrolysis. It effectively separates soft water into Hydrogen and Oxygen and this combination is then injected into the air intake of the engine.Mixing with the fuel present in the chamber, the Oxy-Hydrogen gas changes the structure of the fuel molecules, thus increasing the efficiency of the engine. The mixture also increases the percentage of combustion of fuels inside, thus resulting in lesser smoke.Ti Anode claims that there is no hydrogen gas that gets stored in the vehicle.“It is produced only when the engine is running and is consumed immediately as well,” Velappan Jeyakumar, Managing Director, Ti Anode, told Express. He added that the system would require 100 ml of pure distilled water every 8000 miles. He added that the actual vehicle engine would not be disturbed when installing the HHO Generator and said that the machine would be installed between the turbo and the air intake of the vehicle by drilling a small hole. The machine itself is 2 inches in length and 6 inches in width for a two wheeler.Ti Anode plans to set up dealerships in over 4,000 cities and has an entire product range for different types of vehicles. The system costs `3,500 for two-wheelers up to 125 CC, Rs 17,000 for vehicles up to 1000 CC, `27,000 for cars up to 2000 CC and Rs 1.3 lakh for buses.Visit www.watercar.in
