Will Smith’s new flick
After delivering four smash hits in a row, Pursuit of Happyness, Hitch, I Am Legend and Hancock, Hollywood actor Will Smith walked the red carpet for the premiere of his latest film Seven Pounds on Tuesday night in Los Angeles.
And it turns out that the biggest star in Hollywood even today manages to make mistakes.
“There are tons of mistakes which I tend to not view as mistakes. I tend to view them as necessary missteps in order to learn where the landmines are. You step the wrong way one time, you're not going to do that next time,” says Will Smith.
Seven Pounds reunites him with Pursuit of Happyness director Gabriele Muccino and his emotional, more subdued side.
Will Smith’s new film is a wrenchingly emotional story of a man who puts his life on the line to save the lives of strangers.
“I call them male chick flicks, you know, where men can allow their female side to come out in a safe, manly kind of way. So that's the end-of-the-year kind of vibe,” adds Will Smith.
And his co-star Rosario Dawson, it seems had other things on her mind.
“I get to kiss Will. I get to fake making love to him, I guess which is kind of funny. It was a really interesting experience. We sort of did like a peck kiss on Men in Black II, so we definitely sort of evolved on this one, I have to say that we are growing, we are mature now and we can make up,” says actor Rosario Dawson.
So, after this movie Will Smith plans to spend sometime with his family.
“I'll be developing and spending some time with the family and try to awaken my inner Tiger Woods. I'm trying to get good at golf,” says Will Smith.
Seven Pounds will open in the US on December 19.
Britney Spears dressing down
Pop star Britney Spears is dressing down these days. At a recent concert in Japan, Spears performed her Hit track Womanizer dressed in her bare essential. The critics claim that her choice of outfit was clearly a bid to spice up her repeatedly recycled Womanizer routine, which she has performed identically in four countries.
Romantic comedy The Ugly Truth
Hollywood director Robert Luketic is back with a new romantic comedy movie The Ugly Truth where Katherine Heigl plays Abby Ritcher, a romantically challenged morning show producer whose search for Mr Perfect has left her hopelessly single.
But she's in for a rude awakening when her bosses team her with Mike Chadway played by Gerard Butler, a hardcore TV personality who promises to spill the ugly truth on what makes men and women tick. The Ugly Truth hits theatres in April next year.
