Woman dies as bus hits moped

BANGALORE: H Roopa (27), a resident of Dasarahalli, was killed when her two wheeler was hit by a BMTC bus in front of Wipro Factory on Tumkur Road in Peenya    traffic police station limits. The police said that Roopa was on her way to office,            located on M G Road, on             her moped. She was coming from             the Jalahalli Cross   towards the city. Meanwhile, a BMTC bus (route no 265), which was going to Majestic from Peenya Second Stage, hit Roopa’s vehicle while trying to overtake it. Roopa was killed instantly.Fearing public wrath, the driver abandoned  the bus and fled from  the scene. Later, the body was sent to M S Ramaiah hospital             mortuary for post mortem.Peenya traffic police have registered a case and are on the look out for the absconding bus driver.
