Woman found with throat slashed at Saidapet

CHENNAI: In a suspected case of an extramarital affair leading to murder, a 25-year-old woman’s body was found with cut injuries at her house in Saidapet on Friday. S Ashwini, a resident of Dharmaraja Koil Street, was found lying on the floor with her throat slashed, when her husband Sivanandan returned home in the evening. A gold chain was missing from the body, sources said. Sivanandan, a building contractor, had left in the morning, and the police suspect that murder had taken place sometime after his departure. Ashwini’s relative, Suresh, who was living with the couple, is the prime suspect and is absconding.
