Youth murdered by lovers brother

KARIMNAGAR: In yet another case of honour killing, a young engineer was killed by the brother of a girl with whom he was in love. Nerella Anil Kumar Goud of Vemulawada in the district, was found dead at Khyathampalli in Nizamabad district.Anil Kumar Goud (24) went out of his house on May 16 but did not return home. Anil’s friend Pratapa Srinatha Sarma reportedly surrendered himself on Saturday claiming that he killed Anil.Vemulawada circle inspector Upender told reporters that Anil and Srinatha Sarma were both friends and Anil used to frequently visit Srinatha Sarma’s residence. Anil fell in love with Srinatha Sarma’s sister but the girl’s family objected to their marriage. Anil was advised to keep away from the girl but he did not heed.On May 16, Srinatha Sarma along with two other friends invited Anil for a party on the pretext of settling the issue. They went to Khytampalli on their bikes where Anil was offered drink. Later, Anil was beaten up and strangled to death by Srinatha Sarma and his friends.They  burnt the body by pouring petrol from their vehicles. The police took Srinatha Sarma into custody and sent the skeletal remains of Anil for identification.
