BTS: Jungkook To Miss Suga's Military Enlistment Day Due To THIS Reason? Here's What We Know

BTS singer Jungkook might not be able to visit Suga on his military enlistment day due to his visit to New York. On Sunday, BigHit Music confirmed that Suga will be enlisting for his compulsory training on September 22. While the agency confirmed that there will be no sending off ceremony for Min Yoongi, ARMY is preparing for a possible OT7 reunion. The OT7 reunited when Jin and J-Hope had enlisted for military training. Fans were hoping for a third reunion. However, given the pre-announced schedule, it seems like Jungkook may not join fellow BTS members on Suga’s enlistmnet date.

The reason being Jungkook has to be in New York to perform at the Global Citizen event. It was previously announced that Jeon Jungkook will perform solo at the event on September 23. The 2023 Global Citizen Festival also confirmed the same on their website. “At the 2023 Global Citizen Festival, Jung Kook will perform solo on the Great Lawn of Central Park! He’s joining Global Citizen to call for action to help end extreme poverty,” the website said. The singer will be the first South Korean solo artist to co-headline perform at the festival.

Others performing at the event include Brazilian singer-songwriter Anitta, American rapper-singer Lauryn Hill, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Megan Thee Stallion, Conan Gray, Stray Kids, D-Nice and Sofia Carson.

Given the event, it is likely that Jungkook could miss Suga’s military enlistment. However, BigHit is yet to give clarity on Jungkook’s schedule.

Meanwhile, BigHit in its statement said, “SUGA will be beginning his required service on September 22. There will not be any official events taking place on the day he starts his service or on the day he enters the training camp. We kindly ask fans to refrain from visiting SUGA at his workplace during the period of his service. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts only.”

“Furthermore, please be mindful to avoid getting adversely affected by unauthorized tours or package products that illegally use the artist’s intellectual property. Our company will take appropriate measures against attempts at any commercial activity that make unauthorized use of artist IP.
