Lee Sun Kyun's Wife Jeon Hye Jin Devastated, Breaks Down at Funeral Procession; Watch

Parasite actor Lee Sun Kyun’s wife, actress Jeon Hye Jin was inconsolable at the actor’s funeral, a new video revealed. Lee Sun Kyun’s funeral procession took place on Friday in Seoul, South Korea. Videos from the funeral were shared on X, previously known as Twitter. One of the videos featured an emotional Jeon Hye Jin. Participating in the procession, the actress was seen breaking down as she bid Lee Sun Kyun farewell. The actress was surrounded by her children, family, friends, and other mourners.

There were other videos also shared online which revealed several stars had joined Jeon Hye Jin for the funeral. These included Lee Sun Kyun’s Coffee Prince co-star Gong Yoo, Hospital Playlist star Jo Jung Suk, Kim Nam Gil, Choi Siwon and more.

Trigger Warning: Several South Korean news agency, including K-pop Herald, confirmed the news Lee Sun Kyun’s death on X. “Actor Lee Sun-kyun has been found dead in a car near a park located in Jongno-gu in Seoul this morning, according to reports. Lee has been facing an investigation over suspected drug use,” the post read.

According to a report by Soompi, the police received a call from a woman who said her husband left the house after writing what seems to be a suicide note. Later, the police confirmed that the man has been identified as Lee Sun Gyun and that the call was made by Jeon Hye Jin. “His identity has been confirmed,” the police said. The report added that police found evidence of ‘lit charcoal briquettes’ inside Lee Sun Gyun’s car, suggesting that he might have died of suicide.

The news of his death comes a day after Lee Sun Kyun denied conciously consuming hard drugs. He had been questioned three times, with the third one lasting for 19 hours.

Lee Sun Kyun had been in the South Korean industry for several years and had starred in numerous projects. While Parasite was one of his biggest films, he also starred in My Mister, Coffee PrinceMy Sweet Seoul, Miss Korea and A Hard Day.
