Resort cocktail wear designer Nandita Mahtani presented “Reflect,” a captivating collection that encapsulated two decades of her journey in the fashion industry at Four Seasons Hotel, Worli.
“Reflect is more than just a collection; it was a heartfelt journey through two decades of creativity and evolution, and I am grateful for all the support. Reflect is a collection woven together with cherished moments and lessons learned, it’s a fusion between nostalgia and innovation! While I cherish my journey of 20 years, I am excited to see what lies ahead in the years to come,” says designer Nandita Mahtani.
Karan Johar was the nostalgic showstopper (after marking his debut on the ramp with Nandita Mahtani in 2007), dressed in a bespoke oversized blazer with hand-crusted, diamond-etched embroidery on silk velvet, paired with ultra-wide pants. He was the epitome of effortless style, edgy glam combined with comfort.
“I have known Nandita for decades now, and walking today is not just about fashion, it’s about friendship, love and a retrospective reflection of the past. The first time I ever walked on the ramp was for Nandi, and this time around its equally special!”, says Karan Johar.
“Reflect” is a celebration of the harmonious fusion of tradition and modernity. The collection, a true reflection of Nandita Mahtani’s artistic evolution, exuded versatility, femininity, and glamour. Each piece told a story, weaving together the rich tapestry of Indian embroideries with a modern, cosmopolitan touch. From soft nudes to pristine whites, bold blacks to vibrant pops of pink and red, the colour palette unfolded like chapters, inviting wearers into a journey of celebration and style.
In a nod to the label’s inception, “Reflect” introduced a playful resort print that added a whimsical touch to the collection. Much like life’s ebbs and flows, the garments mirrored a grand celebration, adorned with diamonds, sequins, and vibrant embroideries—a splendidly eclectic ode to the disco of existence. Complementing the stylish resort cocktail collection, diamond jewellery from DIACOLOR added to the sparkle of the night!
Present to support the designer were friends and clients including Raveena Tandon, Sunny Leone, Shibani Dandekar, Anaita Shroff Adajania, Deanne Pandey, Bhavna Pandey, Ahaan Panday, Tania Shroff, Anu & Sanjay Hinduja, Renu Chainani, Tara Sharma all dressed in the Nandita Mahtani Label.
