Saif Siddiqui's 'Invisibility' ISHU Scarf Is Taking The World By Storm
The purpose of the scarf, in Saif Siddidqui's words is 'to ensure there are no more unwanted pictures that appear online'.

This 'paparazzi-proof' scarf that is taking the internet by storm is the latest favorite travel accessory that a host of Hollywood celebs including Cameron Diaz, socialite Paris Hilton, rapper DMX, actor Jeremy Piven and others were spotted wearing.

The ISHU scarf, which has taken technology, imagination and creativity to another level, isn't like any other normal fashion accessory. This one makes the wearer invisible in flash photography. Probably the reason why it has suddenly become a favourite among celebs.

Saif Siddiqui, the Dutch-born Indian-South American, invented the ISHU scarf with the aim of giving people back their privacy.

The scarf gives people total control over their privacy by blocking flash photography and preventing anyone from clicking unwanted images. The technology makes the scarf reflect light back at the camera, thus ruining the image and rendering the wearer virtually invisible in flash photographs.

The range of ISHU products allows people to choose when somebody can click a picture of them.

"ISHU scarf is the first anti-flash scarf which blacks out all pictures when flash is used. The scarf acts as an invisibility cloak, bringing back privacy in a world where everyone has a mobile phone and is on social media," said Siddiqui.

Explaining the technology behind the scarf, Siddiqui told News 18 that "we have enhanced the fabric by adding millions of nano spherical crystals on top of the fabric which absorbs flash and sends it back to the camera, making the person wearing it almost invisible".

When we asked Siddiqui how he came up with this unique idea he said, " Six years ago when some friends tried to take a picture of me in front of a bike in Amsterdam, the reflector on the bike ruined the picture and my first thought was to make something people can wear or hold in pictures that can completely ruin the image. After spending a substantial amount of time researching and working on the project, the brand was finally launched in October 2015, but the sales began only in February 2016".

Since then, there has been no looking back for this man and his brand ISHU. The anti-flash ISHU phone case was recently released. They are planning to launch the brand in India soon and are also in talks with a private aviation company on lining the inside of a private jet with this material.

Way to go!
