Prasanth, who made a decent debut with GV Prakash Kumar’s Bruce Lee, has several films in various stages of development, but he has struck gold with Vilangu. The second season of the series, starring Vemal in the lead role, is currently in the works, which makes Prasanth very excited. Soori is awaiting the release of PS Vinothraj’s Kottukkaali, which will hit the theatres on August 23. Backed by Sivakarthikeyan Productions, the film is the second from Vinothraj, who made a stellar debut with Koozhangal, India’s official entry to the Academy Awards.
Alongside Soori, Anna Ben is making her Tamil debut in Kottukkaali. Every week sees several releases that overlap at the box office, including on August 23, when Kottukkaali will be released alongside Mari Selvaraj’s much-awaited Vaazhai.
Prashanth Pandiraj is an Indian film director who rose to fame with the 2017 Tamil action comedy Bruce Lee, starring GV Prakash Kumar, Vanilla Pralog and Kriti Kharbanda. Prashanth was also the writer for the film.
Soori made his debut in 1998, playing several uncredited roles. His big break came in 2009 with the film Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu, in which he got his identity as Parotta Soori. After a decade of successful career as a comedian, he made his debut as a leading man with Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai Part 1.
