Actor Vishal Moves Madras HC Against Order Asking Him To Pay Lyca Productions The Loan Amount
The case came up for hearing before a bench of Justices, in which Vishal's lawyer objected to paying the money in court. After hearing this, the judges ordered Lyca to respond in this case.

Tamil actor Vishal, who is well known for his significant roles in Kollywood blockbusters, faces legal turmoil regarding an ongoing case with Lyca Productions. According to reports, Vishal, who manages a production company called Vishal Film Factory, had taken a loan of Rs 21.29 crore from financer Anbu Chezhian of Gopuram Films for a film. But when the amount remained unpaid, Lyca Productions stepped in to help Chezhian and promised that the actor would repay the entire amount to Lyca with interest at a rate of 30 per cent per annum.

However, Vishal did not make the scheduled payments, thus Lyca Productions filed a case in the High Court against the actor. In the recent update, Judge PT Asha ordered Stone Bench Films, the film production company that produced the film, to repay the loan amount.

Against this order, actor Vishal filed an appeal in the Madras High Court. The case came up for hearing before a bench of Justices, in which Vishal’s lawyer objected to paying the money in court. After hearing this, the judges ordered Lyca to respond in this case. They further adjourned the hearing to Wednesday.

Earlier, the Madras High Court sternly rebuked Vishal Krishna for failing to adhere to a court order. The court issued a stern warning, hinting at possible suo moto contempt proceedings due to Vishal’s failure to timely submit the required bank statements.

On September 12, 2023, Vishal was reportedly given an order by Justice Asha to provide four bank statements including information on the movable and immovable assets of both himself and his family. However, the judges were infuriated when the actor neglected to submit the affidavits by the deadline.

Later, senior advocate Arvind Pandian, who represented Vishal, submitted all the bank statements and information on the moveable and immovable asset papers online. He also mentioned that they were unable to be turned in on the day set by the court since the paperwork and bank statements took longer than they expected.

Vishal will soon be seen in the upcoming Tamil action film Rathnam. The movie is directed by Hari. Vishal plays the lead role in the movie, while it also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Yogi Babu, Samuthirakani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Ramachandra Raju in important roles.
