The latest courtroom drama series Reeta Sanyal with a quirky twist will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on October 14, 2024. Starring the versatile Adah Sharma in the lead role, the series promises a thrilling blend of courtroom drama, comedy and detective savvy.
Produced by Keylight Productions, the series will be available to stream for free on the Disney+ Hotstar mobile app, with episodes releasing Monday to Friday. In the new trailer, Adah Sharma shines as Reeta Sanyal, a sharp-witted lawyer with the heart of a detective. The star cast also includes Ankur Rathee, Rahul Dev and Manik Papneja, each bringing a unique depth to their characters.
Directed by Abhirup Ghosh, Reeta Sanyal is based on the character of renowned writer Amit Khan and promises viewers a gripping and eccentric journey. Director Abhirup Ghosh was excited, “Reeta Sanyal is a real masala show full of comedy, action, romance and thrills. Adah Sharma brought an infectious energy to the role and created a character who navigates moral complexities with sharp wit and intelligence. Ankur Rathee, who plays flirtatious police inspector Jai, provided the “will they, won’t they” dynamic with Reeta, adding another layer of intrigue. Meanwhile, Manik Papneja described his experience as “thrilling” and noted how his character balances Reeta’s unpredictability.
