Aishwarya Rai Leaves for IIFA 2024 With Aaradhya; Will the Bachchan Family Join Her in Abu Dhabi?

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya were spotted at Mumbai airport, heading to Abu Dhabi for IIFA 2024. The prestigious awards event will run from September 27 to September 29, with Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar set to host, and exciting performances lined up by Kriti Sanon, Shahid Kapoor, Rekha and Janhvi Kapoor.

In a video that surfaced online, Aishwarya, dressed in a stylish black jacket adorned with playful motifs, paired it with a sleek black backpack. Aaradhya opted for a comfortable, pastel green sweatshirt, blending chic with casual for their travel ensemble. Both mother and daughter seemed relaxed as they made their way to the international terminal.

Aishwarya has been nominated in the Performance in a Leading Role – Female (Tamil) category for Ponniyin Selvan: II at the IIFA Utsavam 2024. Interestingly, her mother-in-law, Jaya Bachchan, is also nominated for Best Supporting Actor (Female) for her role in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani at the IIFA Awards 2024.

Though Aishwarya has been making solo public appearances, many are curious to see whether the rest of the Bachchan family will join her in Abu Dhabi. Over the past few months, she has not been spotted with her in-laws at public events, leading to speculation.

Earlier this year, Aishwarya’s fans were disappointed when Amitabh Bachchan made a post celebrating the iconic Kajra Re song but did not mention her, despite her central role in the track. The post, which celebrated the song’s 19th anniversary, focused solely on Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan’s performances, sidelining Aishwarya. Fans took to social media to express their discontent, calling out the megastar for the oversight.

In July, the Bachchans grabbed attention once again when they attended a high-profile wedding separately. While Amitabh, Jaya and Abhishek arrived together, Aishwarya and Aaradhya made a separate appearance.
