A special family montage was played on Kaun Banega Crorepati and Aishwarya Rai as well as Nikhil Nanda were visibly missing. On Friday, October 11, Amitabh celebrated his 82nd birthday. On the occasion, Aamir Khan and his son Junaid Khan surprised him by participating on the show. As part of their surprise, they put together a special showreel featuring photos of Amitabh with his family and a few messages from his family.
The showreel featured photos of his and Jaya Bachchan’s wedding, pictures with the children — Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan — and even photos with grandchildren, Navya Naveli Nanda, Agastya Nanda and Aaradhya Bachchan. The video also featured special messages from Abhishek, Agastya and Navya. However, Aishwarya did not feature neither via photos or via a video message. Nikhil was also missing in the snapshots. However, a picture from Shweta’s wedding with him did appear in the video.
The video montage left Amitabh in tears.

Aishwarya’s absence from the montage has raised eyebrows. The actress’ exclusion has come amid rumours that she and Abhishek Bachchan’s marriage has hit a rocky path. Aishwarya and Abhishek have been subjected to divorce rumours for a while now. The couple, who has been married to for over 17 years now, sparked separation rumours after Aishwarya did not pose with the Bachchan family at Anant Ambani’s wedding in July this year. They did reunite in the wedding hall but soon after the wedding, Aishwarya took off for a holiday without Abhishek which got tongues wagging. To top it off, Abhishek ‘liked’ a post about divorce, which fueled speculations. The rumour feulled when the couple was seen without their respective wedding rings.
However, on the night of the episode’s airing, Aishwarya shared a post wishing Amitabh. “Happy Birthday Pa-DadajiGod Bless always✨,” she wrote while sharing a picture of Amitabh and Aaradhya.
