Alia Bhatt has emerged as the ‘Most Popular Female Film Star in India’ for July 2024, as per Ormax Media’s report. She has overtaken the likes of Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Deepika Padukone to claim the top spot. However, netizens are miffed that Shraddha Kapoor is missing from the list.
As per the report, the most popular actresses are Alia Bhatt, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Deepika Padukone, Kajal Aggarwal and Nayanthara in that order. They were followed by Katrina Kaif, Trisha, Kiara Advani, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna. Check out the list here:
Several social media users noted that Shraddha Kapoor was missing from the list. Her latest release, Stree 2, has proven to be a massive box-office success. While the film was released in August, there was much anticipation about the film in July. One person wrote, “I’m surprised ki Shraddha Kapoor nahi hai usme uski movie aa rahi hai tab bhi.” Another added, “Where is Shraddha? ” One comment read, “Shraddha August main aayegi.” Another mentioned, “Iss list mein Shraddha Kapoor hai hi nai!”
Stree 2 is proving to be a box office juggernaut, showing impressive numbers in its first week of release. The film, directed by Amar Kaushik, raked in a staggering Rs 275.35 crore in just seven days. The success of Stree 2 is particularly noteworthy given the stiff competition it faced from other big releases. Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa also hit theatres around the same time, but Stree 2 managed to carve out a significant share of the audience, largely due to high anticipation and positive word of mouth.
