In a shocking incident, a passenger suffered a cardiac arrest at the Indira Gandhi International Airport on August 20. The swift action of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) members who conducted life-saving CPR on a passenger, helped him survive. The video of the unexpected incident has been doing the rounds on social media with the internet praising the authorities for their immediate action. The CISF jawan’s quick response to the matter has grabbed the attention of Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor, who has praised the armed forces for their relentless pursuit to help civilians.
Sharing a video of the incident that took place at the airport, Arjun Kapoor wrote, “We take them for granted on most days when we travel but it’s amazing to see that they don’t only protect us but can help someone in a life or death situation.” He also used clap and salute emojis to praise the act.
As per reports, the passenger was taken to Safdarjung Hospital for treatment and a spokesperson of the force stated that he was in stable condition. According to the spokesperson, Arshad Ayoub slumped near the hand trolley section while on his way to catch an IndiGo flight to Srinagar at IGI Airport’s terminal 2. A two-member quick reaction team (QRT) of the CISF noticed the passenger collapsing and one of them quickly started giving CPR to him.

ANI released a video which has gained the attention of many social media users. While some praised the forces for their immediate action, many noted how CPR training is essential.
