Makers of the upcoming Malayalam film Virunnu, starring South star Arjun Sarja in the titular role, on Friday unveiled a new teaser. Helmed by Aadupuliyattam fame director Kannan Thamarakkulam, Virunnu also stars Nikki Galrani, Mukesh, Baiju Santhosh and Asha Sarath in the prominent roles. The latest teaser builds on the first, which was released a few months ago and depicted glimpses of some high-octane stunts, promising a thrilling drama. With a fascinating concept, the teaser featured Arjun Sarja’s character as someone who delves into the dreadful world of evil gangs and the horrific murders they perform as part of an inquiry. Sharing the teaser on Instagram, production house Neyyar Films wrote in the caption, “Virunnu official teaser released. The official teaser of the action thriller Virunnu in which action king Arjun plays the lead role has been released.”
The film will be hitting the theatres in Malayalam and Tamil languages.
Virunnu is produced by Gireesh Neyyar under the banner of Neyyar Films and is written by Dinesh Pallath. The music of the film is composed by Ratheesh Vega, VT Sreejith handles Editing, Pradeep Rangan is for Makeup and Suresh Elampal serves as the Chief Associate Director.
Earlier the makers unveiled the first track of the film titled Sakka Podu Podu which garnered a lot of appreciation from the fans.
Virunnu has been creating a buzz on social media ever since its announcement.
Arjun Sarja was last seen in the Tamil action thriller film Leo alongside South superstar Thalapathy Vijay, Sanjay Dutt and Trisha. The film was directed by the renowned director Lokesh Kanagaraj. He will be next seen in the Tamil action thriller film Vidaamuyarchi which is expected to hit the theatres on the occasion of Diwali 2024. Helmed by Magizh Thirumeni the film also features South star Ajith Kumar, Trisha Krishnan and Regina Cassandra in the lead roles.
The film was initially to be directed by Vignesh Shivn but he exited from the project, owing to creative differences.
Produced by Lyca Productions, the music of Vidaamuyarchi is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and the cinematography is by Om Prakash.
