Ayushmann Khurrana has emerged as one of the most versatile actors of Bollywood. He has carved a niche for himself in the Hindi film industry with his dedication and path-breaking performances. The Chandigarh-born actor has always had a knack for selecting the most engaging, compelling and unique subjects for his films. Some of his commercial and critical successes include Vicky Donor, Badhaai Ho, Andhadhun and Article 15 among others.

Ayushmann Khurrana’s Journey
Born in a Punjabi family on September 14, 1984, in Chandigarh as Nishant Khurrana, his parents changed his name three years after his birth to Ayushmann.
He began his acting career with theatre during his college days and also worked as a Radio Jockey.
After appearing in several plays, Ayushmann made his small-screen debut with the reality show MTV Roadies Season 2 in 2004 which he won.
Ayushmann, after clinching the title of Roadies 2, gained recognition and worked with the TV channel MTV as a Video Jockey (VJ).
He appeared in several shows like MTV Fully Faltoo Movies, Cheque De India, MTV Rock On and Jaadoo Ek Baar.
Not just this, the actor also turned host for several big reality TV shows like India’s Got Talent, Music Ka Maha Muqqabla and Just Dance.
In 2012, Ayushmann made his big screen debut with director Soojit Sircar’s romantic comedy film Vicky Donor alongside Yami Gautam and Anu Kapoor. The film was a big hit making Ayushmann a revelation.
After that, there was no looking back for Ayushmann. He appeared in several superhit films like Dream Girl, Bala, Shubh Mangal Saavdhaan, Article 15, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Bareilly Ki Barfi and others.
In 2013 and 2019 he appeared in Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list and was also named as one of the most influential people in the world in 2020 by Time.
He bagged the prestigious National Film Award for his performance in the thriller film Andhadhun.
Apart from being an actor, Ayushmann is also a musician and has lent his voice to several big hit tracks like Paani Da, Saadi Galli Aaja, Mitti Di Khushboo, Nazm Nazm, Mere Liye Tum Kaafi Ho and others.

- Dream Girl 2Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the film was released last year and also featured Ananya Panday, Paresh Rawal, Abhishek Banerjee, Anu Kapoor and Rajpal Yadav in significant roles. Backed by Balaji Motion Pictures, the film was a hit and received a good response from the fans.
- An Action HeroAyushmann was seen performing hardcore action sequences in the 2022 thriller film An Action Hero. Helmed by Anirudh Iyer, it also starred Jaideep Ahlawat in the lead role. The film was a critical hit but did not do wonders at the box office.
- Doctor GIn the 2022 comedy-drama film, Ayushmann played the role of a gynaecologist. It also starred Rakul Preet Singh and Shefali Shah.
Ayushmann Khurrana’s Upcoming Films
Untitled Project
Ayushmann will be next seen in producer Karan Johar’s upcoming untitled film co-starring actress Sara Ali Khan. Directed by Aakash Kaushik, the film is touted to be an action-comedy. However, further details about the project are yet to be revealed.
Vampires of Vijay Nagar
Reportedly, Ayushmann will be soon joining the Maddock Films’ Horror-comedy universe with the film Vampires of Vijay Nagar alongside actress Rashmika Mandanna. An official announcement of the film is still awaited.
