Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s divorce rumours have been making headlines for a long time now. While the two have not issued any official statement confirming or denying their separation, it has now been reported that the ‘Gone Girl’ actor is allegedly ‘gaslighting’ JLo.
“The fact that he bought a new home while she was celebrating her birthday in the Hamptons was really humiliating for her,” a source cited by In Touch claimed. “Plus, one day he has his ring on, and the next day it’s off — it’s like he’s gaslighting her,” the insider added.
Reportedly, it is Ben’s wedding ring which is leaving Lopez confused. The insider claimed that while Ben wears his wedding ring one day, he makes a public appearance without it the next.
This comes days after another report by Page Six claimed that JLo is “upset” and “angry” with the ‘Deep Water’ actor. “He’s humiliated her because she made a big deal that he’s the love of her life,” a source cited by the entertainment portal claimed. “They just had two weddings two years ago. This is some kind of a record, they’re not young kids,” the insider added.
The report further claimed that JLo is also upset because “there are five kids involved” in their divorce. “She knew they were going to blend families. She has not fully accepted it is over,” the source said. Jennifer and Ben do not have any children together. However, Affleck is a father to three kids with his former wife Jennifer Garner – Violet, Fin and Samuel. On the other hand, JLo is the mother of twins, Max and Emme.
While Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s divorce rumours first surfaced online in May this year, earlier this month, it was also reported that they have signed the divorce papers. “They finalised the divorce papers with her a month ago, but are waiting for the right time to drop them,” a source told Daily Mail. The portal further claimed that JLo and Ben are also likely to officially announce their separation soon.
