The 8th season of the Bigg Boss Telugu has officially commenced on September 1. Superstar Nagarjuna has returned as a host for the sixth time in a row. The show follows the logo of infinity, citing similarity to the numerical 8. The show will be scheduled to stream 24/7 on Disney+ Hotstar and an hour-long episode every day on Star Maa. A total of 14 contestants entered the Bigg Boss house on the first day. The contestants on the first day include Yashmi Gowda, Nikhil Maliyakkal, Abhay Bethiganti, Aditya Om, Sonia Akhula and others. Among the stalwarts of the film industry, a young man from the daily soaps has also entered the show. The Nag Panchami fame actor Prithiviraj Shetty made his reality show debut by participating in the Bigg Boss Telugu 8. The actor was paired with Vishnupriya to enter the house. Prithviraj Shetty completed his primary education and college education in Mangaluru, Kasaragod and Udupi district. He ventured into the fashion field after his education. Prithiviraj Shetty, who had participated in fashion shows during his college days, later travelled to Bengaluru with the desire to act in films and TV shows.
After a series of brief roles in unsuccessful serials, the actor got his big break with the serial Naga Panchami in 2023. He became a household name with this daily soap. He has played brief roles in a couple of Telugu films as well. Prithiviraj Shetty, who has excelled in Telugu TV shows, has been selected for the 8th edition of Bigg Boss considering his achievements and success. He was recently nominated for elimination in the show.
Adding to it, to create even more buzz around this season this time, Nagarjuna has announced a bumper offer. In a recent development, the crew has taken the initiative to allow the fans to feature in the show. The host of the show mentioned that if fans post their favourite moments from Bigg Boss on social media using the hashtag #BiggBossTelugu8, they will select their favourite ones and feature them on the screen.
