After a long wait, finally Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s much-anticipated action series Citadel: Honey Bunny trailer has released. Fans were eagerly waiting for the trailer. And looks like it has impressed everyone. The series will be released on October 15 and will begin streaming on November 7.
The trailer is a preview of the exhilarating and riveting spy thriller set against the vibrant tapestry of the 90’s, which features explosive action, high-octane stunts, and edge-of-your-seat excitement, all perfectly complemented by exceptional performances and a grand visual scale. When stuntman Bunny (Varun Dhawan) recruits struggling actress Honey (Samantha) for a side gig, they are hurled into a high-stakes world of action, espionage, and betrayal. Years later, as their dangerous past catches up, the estranged Honey and Bunny must reunite and fight to protect their young daughter Nadia.

On Monday, the makers released the poster of the series. This action-packed thriller, directed by the famous pair Raj & DK, stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in lead roles. It is part of the global Citadel universe which includes the critically acclaimed season, starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
Earlier, the teaser of Citadel: Honey Bunny was released by the makers promising a thriller espionage series. Varun and Samantha are shown in the clip performing hardcore action sequences. Samantha is seen with two pistols, preparing to engage in a fight with two opponents in a scene. She also appears in a fight sequence with Varun.
Talking about the series during one of the promotional events earlier this year, Samantha said, “I never would have imagined that I would do action. But today, for me, being at this event is already such a victory, because, until the last moment, I didn’t think I could do it. I didn’t think I would be a part of Citadel. I’m extremely grateful to Raj, DK, Sita and Amazon for really coming to my rescue. I just had to prepare physically. I am just so incredibly proud already that this is the way it is, this is the way it looks. I can’t believe – this is how it looks," as quoted by The Times of India.
Sita R. Menon and Raj & DK created the series, which promises an exciting story full of surprising twists and turns. Along with Varun and Samantha, the series features an impressive ensemble cast that includes Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Saqib Saleem, Sikandar Kher, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar and Kashvi Majmundar.
