Jennifer Aniston couldn’t help gushing over her friendship with Reese Witherspoon! At the 76th Emmy Awards on Sunday, the Friends alum took the opportunity to celebrate her friendship with Witherspoon on the red carpet. Notably, both the actresses were nominated for the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series (The Morning Show) at the event. Despite going head-to-head in the category, the two didn’t refrain from supporting each other at the Emmys.
Speaking to E! during the pre-show, Aniston said, “We grew up together, and we were kids together, and now we’re grown-ups together." She went on to emphasise how working together on The Morning Show with Witherspoon turned out to be an incredible experience for her, further praising her friend as the perfect partner. Aniston also praised the cast and crew members of their show, calling them a “wonderful group of people." She also highlighted how they have a no-nonsense policy toward any sort of negativity.
For the event, Jennifer Aniston chose a stunning strapless pearl-hued Oscar de la Renta gown, which she paired with a Tiffany & Co. diamond bracelet as she carried herself gracefully on the red carpet. On the other hand, Reese Witherspoon also grabbed eyeballs in a beautiful black Dior gown with a deep neckline.

Earlier in June, Aniston, while speaking at the FYC event at Paramount Studios, shared that she doesn’t want her and Reese Witherspoon’s characters to part in The Morning Show. “We love to hate each other and we love to love each other, and I think that’s sort of a really fun dynamic that Reese and I get to play. And of course, we would like to be together forever, I would think. I hope, but we really don’t know what’s going to happen," she said, as quoted by People.
Many might know that both Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon worked together on the popular sitcom, Friends. Witherspoon played Jill Green, Rachel’s younger sister. Speaking on her personal experience of working with Aniston, the actress told Harper’s Bazaar, “I was 23 years old and had just had a baby. I was nursing Ava on set, and Jen just kept going, ‘You have a baby?’ I was like, ‘I know, it’s weird. I was really nervous, and she was like, ‘Oh, my gosh—don’t worry about it!’ I marveled at her ability to perform in front of a live audience like that with no nerves. They would change all the lines, and she was just so effortlessly affable, bubbly, and sunny."
