Devara – Part 1, starring Jr. NTR, has taken the box office by storm. Directed by Koratala Siva, the action-packed drama has already entered the Rs 200 crore club within just six days of its release. It has gained widespread recognition in all five languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada.
After performing well for the first seven days, on day 8, Devara- Part 1 earned around Rs 6.25 crore for all languages in the domestic market. According to a report by Sacnilk, the box office collection for the first week was around Rs 215.60 crore domestically. This now stands at Rs. 221.85 crore after combining with the eighth day’s early estimate collection. The film had an overall 20.44 per cent Telugu occupancy on Friday, October 4, followed by significant numbers in the other languages.
Bankrolled by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, beside Jr. NTR Devara – Part 1 stars Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Shine Tom Chacko, Murali Sharma and Prakash Raj in key roles. After making a significant collection at the box office on day 7, the filmmakers tweeted a startling poster of Jr. NTR’s film with the enormous box-office collection number worldwide, which is around Rs 405 crores. Devara – Part 1 was reportedly produced on a budget of Rs 300 crore. It has surpassed multiple blockbuster films from the past, including Pushpa: The Rise, Adipurush and others. As per reports, Pushpa: The Rise earned Rs 350.1 crore worldwide, while it bagged two National Awards for Best Actor and Best Music Direction. Following this, films like Adipurush, which made Rs 393 crore worldwide despite a production budget of Rs 450 crore, have also been outperformed by Adipurush. Now, Devara is targeting the collection of Saaho, Baahubali: The Beginning, Baahubali 2, RRR, Kalki 2898 AD and Salaar to become the top five highest-grossing Telugu films.
Jr. NTR’s fans have been constantly showing their excitement and support for Devara – Part 1. Earlier, we stumbled upon a viral video of a fan who travelled from Japan to Los Angeles just to attend the film’s premiere. Ahead of the worldwide release of this movie, the film premiered at the Beyond Fest in Los Angeles.
In a viral video posted by the team of Devara: Part 1 on their X, a heartmelting conversation between Jr. NTR and his fans, who were extremely eager to get a glimpse of the actor, won the internet. The fan was on the other side of the security, while the two interacted from a fenced gate. The woman was emotional throughout the time she talked to the actor. Sharing the video, the filmmakers wrote, “How far would you go for your favourite…? @KO19830520 travelled all the way from Tokyo to Los Angeles just to watch #Devara with @tarak9999 at the @BeyondFest. And when he met, her reaction was priceless! What a moment to witness!”
Devara – Part 1 will seemingly surpass many other blockbuster films in the coming days.
