A large crowd gathered to see Dhanush and the shooting of his movie caused a traffic jam in the area.

Dhanush’s collaboration with the National Award-winning director Shekhar Kammula for his Telugu debut film tentatively titled D51or DNS (Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Shekhar Kammula) is creating a buzz in the entertainment industry. The shooting of the movie started in Tirupati recently, which led to a traffic jam in Alipiri. A large crowd gathered to see Dhanush and the shooting of his movie caused a traffic jam on the narrow Hare Rama Hare Krishna road on January 30, Tuesday. The video of the traffic also went viral. After the BJP filed a petition to stop the shooting, the Tirupati Municipal Police revoked the permission to shoot and halted the filming of D51. As the shoot of D51 was taking place in the Alipiri area of Tirupati, there was a two-kilometre-long wait of vehicles on either side of the road, leaving commuters angry.

The devotees who were travelling to Tirupati encountered challenges as they crossed the area. The filming began on Tuesday morning. On one side, pilgrims were heading to Tirumala; while on the other, the shooting was taking place, producing a traffic jam. This troubled both locals and devotees. The filming took place for a brief amount of time in the morning. The pilgrims travelling to Tirumala Hill encountered significant difficulty as to get to Tirumala Hill by car, one had to cross Alipiri. As the traffic increased, the cops immediately interfered and tried to resolve the issue.

During this process, some locals got into a disagreement with the cops as well. The shooting of the film on the congested road has now sparked a debate among the local people. Even though the D51 makers obtained permission to shoot in advance, the municipal police of Tirupati stopped the shooting.

D51 will have a special appearance of superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna in the movie. Rashmika Mandanna will be playing the role of lead heroine in the movie. This movie will mark the Telugu debut of Dhanush. The actor was last seen in the movie Captain Miller. It was directed by Arun Matheswaran. Dhanush is also busy with his second directorial movie which is tentatively titled D50. The film stars an ensemble cast of SJ Suryah, Dhanush, Nithiya Menon and Sundeep Kishan.
