Actress Sonalee Kulkarni, who predominantly works in Marathi cinema, is making headlines as she recently forayed into South cinema. She has made her mark in the Malayalam film industry with a significant role in Malaikottai Vaaliban. The makers recently released a song titled Ezhimala Kottayile from the film.

The song unveils the stunning character Rangapattinam Rangarani, portrayed by Sonalee Kulkarni. The lyrics are penned by PS Rafeeque, and Prashant Pillai has composed the song. Sonalee delivers a bold performance in the film Malaikottai Vaaliban. The actress is enthralling the South audience with her graceful dance moves, showcasing the renowned Lavani dance from Maharashtra.

The actress’s performance gained huge traction from the audience. So far, the video has received over half a million views and is still counting more. Several social media users have commented on the video. One user wrote, “The way they captured feminine beauty. This song had a great theatre vibe." Another user added, “My favourite song…enjoyed it." One user also commented, “National awards and state awards waiting. This film is a gem."

Sonalee Kulkarni, in her Malayalam film debut Malaikottai Vaaliban, directed by National Award winner Lijo Jose Pellissery, joined forces with South superstar Mohanlal. Sonalee expressed her joy at the opportunity to work with industry legends in her first Malayalam film. The film hit the screens in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, with plans to reach audiences in countries like the UK, US, and Canada. Notably, it stands as the first grand regional film to be released in Canada.

Malaikottai Vaaliban hit theatres on January 25. The Hindi version is set to be released later this week. Some of the key roles in the film were played by actors such as Sonalee Kulkarni, Hareesh Peradi, Manoj Moses, Katha Nandi, Danish Sait, and Manikandan Achari.
