The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film Oru Anweshanathinte Thudakkam released their first poster on October 5. Shine Tom Chacko plays the lead role in the film, which has been written and directed by MA Nishad. The release of the first poster suggests that the makers of the film are planning to release it in theatres soon. An exact release date is expected in the coming days. From the current poster, it is revealed that Shine plays the role of a man named Jeevan Thomas; and the film is an investigative thriller. The story has been inspired by notes that MA Nishad’s father, senior police officer PM Kunhimoideen, made in his diary about a case when he was employed in the police force. The film is based on true events.
The star cast of Oru Anweshanathinte Thudakkam includes Vani Vishwanath, Samudrakani, Mukesh, Ashokan, Baiju Santhosh, Sudheesh, Sivada, Durga Krishna, Manju Pillai, Swasika, Anumol, Prashant Alexander, Johnny Antony, Vijay Babu, Jafar Idukki, Kottayam Naseer, Kailash, Biju Sopanam, Kalabhavan Shajon, Saikumar, Johnny Anthony, P Sreekumar, Shyamaprasad, and Babu Namboothiri.
Director MA Nishad also stars in a prominent role. Iyer in Arabia is the last film directed by MA Nishad. It starred Dhyan Sreenivasan, Mukesh and Urvashi in the lead roles.
For Oru Anweshanathinte Thudakkam, M Jayachandran composed the music, while Vivek Menon handled the cinematography. Produced by KV Abdul Nasser under the banner of Benzi Productions, this investigative thriller was shot in Bombay, Hyderabad, Vagamon, Kuttikanam and Kottayam.
Shine Tom Chacko last featured in Jr NTR’s multilingual film Devara, which was released on September 27. Thaanara, his last Malayalam film, was not received very well in theatres. He will play a lead role in Pathimoonnam Rathri, which is scheduled to release in October. He will also star in the Mammootty film Bazooka.
