New Delhi: While his movie 'Hunterrr' is getting mixed reviews on the first day of its release, Gulshan Devaiah, in a free willing twitter chat with IBNLive.com, stated that how he would wish to play Raghu in Sriram Raghavan's 'Badlapur' if given a chance.
When asked one film from the recent times he wished to be a part of, the 'Shaitaan' actor promptly replied 'Badlapur' and said how he was jealous of Varun Dhawan's performance.
Gulshan's latest 'Hunterrr' is an adult film about a man obsessed with sex. When we asked whether Indian audience is ready for such a subject, he said, "We underestimate our people and their intelligence time and again. Of course they are and were already for 'Hunterrr'" The actor further added, "Our audiences are far more intelligent and open minded than the film industry perceives them to be."
With a strong background in theater, Devaiah called the medium his teacher or mother while cinema his lover.
Having been part of ensemble cast mostly, Gulshan Devaiah is hoping that the success of 'Hunterrr' would fetch him more leading roles. Emphasizing that more critical appreciation and box office success is important for a film, the actor said, "making movies is as much a business as its art."
After 'Hunterrr', the actor will be seen in Soni Razdan's 'Love Affair' and Pooja Bhatt's 'Cabaret' next.
