Hina Khan Is 'So Proud' Of Shaheer Sheikh Ahead Of His Debut Film Do Patti

TV stars Shaheer Sheikh and Hina Khan are quite close. The two have not only worked together but are also good friends. As Shaheer gears up for the release of his debut film Do Patti alongside Kriti Sanon, Hina took to her Instagram Stories to show her support. In a heartfelt post, she expressed her pride in Shaheer and congratulated the entire team behind the film.

On Monday, the makers of Do Patti unveiled the trailer of the film. Excited for Shaheer Sheikh as he achieves a new milestone, Hina Khan reshared the trailer on social media and accompanied it with a note. She wrote, “Omgeee the trailer is outtt and it looks faab…Shaheer I am so proud of you my friend, Kajol (asli singham) and do not miss the double dose of kriti sanon. Go watch the trailer now. Do not forget to watch on 25th October only on Netflix. Congratulations team.”

Earlier this year, when Hina Khan was at the hospital, undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, Shaheer made sure to visit her. He even shared a post on social media, acknowledging the actress’ strength in the hard times. He wrote, “You are my cherished friend and I have always seen you inspire people around the world by doing the right thing but watching your grit and resilience in the last few months has made me feel so proud of you. You are fiery and fearless.”

“Here’s to always finding sunshine and rainbows in the grey skies and always being in pursuit of that silver lining. BFF. fearless,” Shaheer added.

Coming back to Do Patti, the film stars Kriti Sanon, Kajol and Shaheer Sheikh in the lead roles. Kanika Dhillon, the writer of the film, shared an anecdote about the casting process following which Shaheer was finalised for the role of Dhruv. She revealed that Kriti personally auditioned with the last 10 candidates before roping in the actor for the particular role.

Kriti Sanon, heaping praises on Shaheer Sheikh, said at the trailer launch, “I think while I was doing the audition only with him, I felt in my head when we were seeing that the chemistry was working, also the shades of group that he has. I think he was pulling it off so well.”

Set in Devipur, Do Patti features Kajol in the role of a cop whereas Kriti Sanon will be seen in a grey role. It has been directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi.
