We are finally out with the list of winners for this year's IBNLive Movie Awards. 2014 has seen a myriad of themes on which filmmakers experimented. Some were successful in narrating fresh new stories, while some faltered. Our readers voted for their favourites in different categories; while some of their choices were predictable, there were the others whose results were refreshingly different. They made some remarkable films win in important categories.
The readers unanimously chose Sherya Ghoshal as the Best Female Playback singer for her melodious track Manwa Laage in 'Happy New Year'. She received 55.94 per cent votes which was way ahead of her other contenders. Singer Kanika Kapoor got the second highest votes for 'Baby Doll'. Almost all the award shows gave away the Best Female Playback singer award to Kanika, but our readers chose Shreya over Kanika. She received 27.32 per cent votes. The other nominees were Alia Bhatt for Samjhanwan and Sona Mohapatra for Dil Aaj Kal and they got 9.97 and 6.77 per cent votes respectively.
