Imran Khan FINALLY Opens Up On His Divorce: 'My Internal Struggle Wasn't Helping My Relationship"
Imran Khan said in an interview that he doesn't want to fuel rumours, but said that personal problems made the relationship difficult.

Imran Khan talked about why he split from Avantika Malik in a new interview. He didn’t want to add more gossip but said his inner struggles made it hard to keep the marriage going. He explained that he doesn’t want to fuel rumours, but said that personal problems made the relationship difficult.

In the interview with India Today, Imran said, “Without going too much into that part, because I’m hesitant to add a lot of fuel to the gossip fire, but as I was dealing with all of this baggage and all my internal struggle, I did find that my marriage and my relationship were not helping any of that.” He further added, “In an ideal, healthy dynamic between two people, you are both making each other better, healthier, stronger, and supporting each other to be the healthiest, best, strongest version. We were not in that place.”

Avantika and Imran got married in 2011 and had a daughter named Imara. Rumors about their separation started in 2019, though neither of them confirmed it. Avantika hinted at it on social media. In 2021, she posted about feeling stuck and finding solace in dark nights. Last year, it was confirmed that they had split.

Imran Khan’s first film was Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na in 2008, with Genelia D’Souza. His latest movie, Katti Batti, with Kangana Ranaut, didn’t do well. He mentioned a comeback project, a spy series with Disney+ Hotstar, but it got canceled.

Imran Khan is preparing to make his Bollywood comeback after a nine-year break, marking a significant moment in his career. Although it was earlier reported that Imran would star in Vir Das’ directorial debut, Happy Patel, he quickly dismissed the rumours. He told Times Entertainment, “It’s not true. Vir Das is directing and starring in Happy Patel. I am not in the film. They have just used a photograph of me as part of an in-film joke.” This left Imran Khan’s fans disheartened, who are eagerly awaiting his comeback after a long gap. He was last seen in Katti Batti in 2015.
