Popular American actor, comedian, and singer Eric Marlon Bishop, aka Jamie Foxx, has remained tight-lipped about the health scare that led to his hospitalisation in Atlanta last year. But now, the 56-year-old star is ready to reveal the health emergency. The star recently took to his Instagram to promote his show ‘One More Chance: An Evening with Jamie Foxx.’ He teased fans with a witty phrase “What Had Happened Was" on a black background, hinting at bringing his scary health experience to the stage.

His caption revealed that he’ll offer fans insight into his medical emergency for the first time during his upcoming one-man show. The show, set to release in October, promises a blend of humour, heart, and inspiration.

Jamie wrote, “Join us for an unforgettable one-man show as Jamie Foxx takes the stage to share his journey through a serious health scare, filled with humour, heart, and inspiration!"

“Experience Jamie Foxx like never before in this intimate and engaging performance, as he opens up about his struggles, triumphs, and everything in between. Get ready for a night of laughter, reflection, and genuine connection," he added.

Take a glimpse of the teaser here:

In April 2023, the Collateral star was admitted to the hospital while filming Netflix’s Back in Action in Atlanta. His daughter Corinne initially shared the news of his hospitalization.

Later, Foxx posted a video on Instagram stating that he was finally recovering. He addressed his fans, saying, “Thank you a billion to everybody… been a long road, but all the prayers, great people, and God got me through."

After months of silence, Foxx opened up about what led to his hospitalization at an outdoor café in Phoenix, USA, in July. He was seen telling people that on April 11 last year, he had a bad headache, and he asked someone to get him an Advil. Then he snapped his fingers and said, “I was gone for 20 days. I don’t remember anything. My sister and daughter took me to a doctor and gave me a cortisone shot (a steroid injection to reduce inflammation and pain)."

Foxx added that the doctor later told him that “something was going on up there" as he pointed to his head.

He then said, “I won’t say it on camera. Yeah, I don’t want to say it on camera."
