The Kannada film Kaatera, featuring Darshan and Aradhana Ram, was released in December 2023, marking itself to be a hit in the industry. A few months ago, the Kaatera team celebrated 50 days of its run at Prasanna Theatre on Magadi Road, Bengaluru. The crew members and technicians who worked on the film were honoured at the event. Now, the film has completed 100 days of its run in theatres. So, the Kaatera team celebrated the 100-day celebration in a very simple manner.
Director Tarun Sudhir, Music Director V Harikrishna and other members of the team were present at this event. The team celebrated the success by cutting the cake and chilling with the cast and crew members. Actor Darshan was not present at the celebration as he underwent surgery on his left hand and currently resting.
The film, starring Darshan and Aradhana Ram as the leads, is said to be inspired by a true incident that happened in a Karnataka village in the 1970s. It revolves around a blacksmith from Bheemanahalli named Kaatera. The blacksmith has to face numerous challenges to help the farmers in his village and implement the land reform law. The film aimed to free the peasants from the feudal landlords Devaraya and Kaalegowda.
Apart from Darshan and Aradhana Ram, Kaatera also stars Jagapathi Babu, Kumar Govind, Vinod Kumar Alva, Shruti and Shweta Prasad among others. The film’s lead actress Aradhana Ram made her acting debut with this film. Although it is her first film project, she is known to all as she is the daughter of actress Malashree. Aradhana received a lot of praise for her spectacular performance opposite Darshan in the film.
On the other hand, Darshan is a well-known actor who is primarily active in the Kannada film industry. Apart from acting, Darshan is also a film distributor and producer. He owns a production company called Thoogudeepa Productions. The actor is currently working on his upcoming projects. These include D59, Devil and Raja Veera Madakari Nayaka.
