Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor might be happily posing for the shutterbugs at the promotional events of Anurag Basu directorial Jagga Jasoos, but the ex-flames are in no mood to work with each other in the future.
If a report in Mid-Day is to be believed, then this might just be the last time that the two are sharing screen space.
During an interaction at an event, when Katrina was asked if she'd sign another film with Ranbir, an otherwise guarded Katrina revealed that this will never happen again. She has been quoted as saying, "It's very difficult. People now have proof that he is a very trying and testing person. Ranbir has also gestured [to me] to not work on a film together. It will never happen again."
While Katrina's statement left many surprised, Ranbir turned down the interactions citing time constraints.
Industry insiders, too believe that a collaboration between the two is unlikely but the reason for that is their work commitments. A director, who is close to both Ranbir and Katrina, told the daily, "Katrina and Ranbir's dates are locked for the next few years. She has 'Tiger Zinda Hai' and 'Thugs of Hindostan', with Aamir. Ranbir is busy with the Sanjay Dutt biopic, and 'Dragon'."
The couple ended their relationship of five years in January 2016 but have always maintained a dignified silence over their public break up. Many speculated that the reports of the two not getting along on the sets of the film was one of the main reasons for the film's delay.
The film, also starring Sayani Gupta and Saurabh Shukla in pivotal roles, is slated to release on July 14.
