Malayalam Actor Suraj Venjaramoodu To Make Tamil Debut With Vikram-starrer Chiyaan 62
Apart from Vikram, actor SJ Suryah will also be playing a prominent role in Chiyaan 62.

Tamil actor Vikram’s upcoming movies are creating a buzz in the entertainment industry. One of the most anticipated movies, Thangalaan is set to release in theatres worldwide on April 12. This action-drama film is directed by Pa Ranjith and stars Vikram in the lead role. Apart from this, Vikram’s upcoming tentatively titled film Chiyaan 62 has also been garnering headlines ever since the announcement video of the movie was released.

Chiyaan 62 is written and directed by SU Arun Kumar. Apart from Vikram, actor SJ Suryah will also be playing a prominent role in the film. The makers have now shared a huge update regarding the cast of the film. Noted Malayalam comedian and actor, Suraj Venjaramoodu has now joined the ensemble cast of Chiyaan 62.

The movie is produced by Riya Shibu under the banner of HR Pictures. The production house announced the inclusion of National Award winner Suraj Venjaramoodu in the movie on the social media platform X (formerly called Twitter). “National and Kerala state award-winning actor #SurajVenjaramoodu, who has mesmerised us back to back in films like #DrivingLicense #AndroidKunjappan etc., is now on board for #Chiyaan62!" wrote HR Pictures while announcing the same.

The movie will mark the Tamil debut of the actor. As per reports, the Malayalam actor was set to debut in Tamil cinema with the film Konjam Nadinga Boss but was shelved for unknown reasons. His long-awaited debut will finally take place with the movie Chiyaan 62.

Suraj Venjaramoodu won the National Film Award for Best Actor for his lead role in Perariyathavar in 2013. In 2019, he won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor in movies Android Kunjappan Version 5.25 and Vikruthi.

The announcement for Chiyaan 62 was made in October 2023. The teaser began with footage from the Thiruvallur district’s Tiruttani police station.

A woman is seen running into the station with her child, complaining that she was almost attacked but managed to escape. During this, Vikram makes an explosive entry into the police station while beating some goons. The video then shows Vikram repairing his footwear and wandering casually before being halted by cops. The music of the movie is composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
