Malayalam Actress and radio presenter Meera Nandan recently got married to her fiance Sreeju, a London-based accountant. The wedding took place at the Guruvayoor Temple in Kerala. The couple got married on Saturday, June 29, in the presence of their family and friends.
The beautiful bride Meera Nandan wore a muted gold saree paired up with modern jewellery while the groom wore a traditional Kerala kasavu mundu and shawl on his big day.
Meera Nandan’s friends from the industry including Ann Augustine and Srindaa attended the temple wedding. On Saturday morning, Meera Nandan posted the pictures of the wedding on social media and captioned it, “My life and my love.”
Meera Nandan and Sreeju met through a matchmaker. They got engaged in September 2023. They began their wedding festivities earlier this week. Meera Nandan had shared pictures from the pre-wedding festivities, including mehendi, haldi and sangeet.
After meeting through a matchmaking website and speaking to her parents, Sreeju flew from London to Dubai to meet Meera Nandan. They hit it off instantly and their love story began, as per reports. The couple has been vacationing together for a few weeks now.
Meera Nandan is best known for her Malayalam films, including Mulla, Puthiya Mugham, Currency and Mallu Singh.
Meera made her first appearance on camera in a commercial for Mohanlal’s Taste Buds. In 2007, she applied as a contestant on Idea Star Singer, which aired on Asianet Television but was selected as a host for the programme. She also hosted television shows on Amrita TV and Jeevan TV.
The following year, she made her acting debut in Malayalam cinema, playing the female lead in Lal Jose’s Mulla. Lal Jose was looking for “a new face with a girl-next-door character”, and Poornima, the wife of actor Indrajith Sukumaran, found Meera suitable for the role and approached her.
After consulting with her parents, she accepted the role of Lachi, a sassy, smart and outgoing girl which earned her much acclaim. The following year, she made her debut in Tamil cinema with Vaalmiki and quickly signed several more Tamil films like KT Kunjumon’s Kadhalukku Maranamillai, Ayyanar and Suriya Nagaram.
