Having been married for 27 years, Snoop Dogg and his wife, Shante Broadus, are pure couple goals. Despite the fair share of challenges they have been through during these years, the couple chose to remain by each other’s side, setting an example of what true companionship looks like. Now, Snoop has shared some marital advice for young couples seeking lasting relationships.

Speaking to People magazine, Snoop Dogg described his wife as a “great mother, a tremendous grandmother, an excellent wife and a great friend.” As Snoop continued to heap praises on his wife, he shared “She knows how to push all of my buttons to make me act a motherf—ing fool or to make me act cool, and I love it.”

Previously, Snoop Dogg and his wife, Shante Broadus, split briefly in 2004, only to renew their vows four years later. Reflecting on the challenges over the years, he continued, “In relationships like this, it’s a rocky road in the beginning because success is new to both.” As for his wife, he felt like, “Some things I want you to be a part of, some things I don’t want you to be a part of to protect you. But not knowing that she should have been there the whole way to protect.”

Snoop Dogg, as he continued to reflect on her marital life in the same conversation, said that he takes his role of provider very seriously. Further, he remarked that his wife, Shante Broadus, grounds him while also teaching him about patience and the importance of family time. Giving his marriage advice, he said, “When we said we’d marry, we are married ’til death do us part. Ain’t that what it says? Not ’til arguments do us part or fighting or finances, but till death do us part.”

In terms of career, Snoop Dogg recently recorded a remix with Sting. FYI, Sting is the most successful singer of the 1980s from the UK. In an announcement during the BBC Radio 2’s In The Park event, Sting shared he along with Snoop, worked together on a rendition of “Message In A Bottle.” It will be released this November. Additionally, he was also busy during the Paris Olympics while working as NBC’s special US correspondent.
