Telugu actor Narne Nithiin’s hit film Aay released on August 15, 2024. It will now be reportedly streaming on OTT. According to a news report, Aay will be streaming on Netflix from September 12. As per the portal, this is a surprising update because Allu Aravind, who owns the homegrown streaming platform Aha, has helmed Aay. He backed it under the GA2 Pictures (under the Geetha Arts banner). Instead of streaming this film on Aha, Aay will stream on Netflix. Kanchipally Anji Babu has written and directed Aay starring Ankith Koyya, Krishna Chaitanya, Nayan Sarika and others in key roles. During the release, Aay faced stiff competition from films like Mr Bachchan and Double Ismart, but managed to become a commercial success.
Narne Nithiin had talked about this film in an earlier interview. He said, “Geetha Arts have made things possible for me. I owe them a lot for choosing me for this film in the first place. They have been an ardent support right through the filming, and I cannot thank the producer Bunny Vas for hand-holding me right through the making of the film.” Adding further, the Aay actor also revealed that his brother-in-law and star hero, Jr NTR, loved the promo. Nithiin recalled Jr NTR telling him that he liked his work and that the film would be a sure-shot success if promoted well. Ram Miryala has composed the music and the songs from Aay have become hits with the audience.
Nithiin is currently concentrating on his upcoming film Sri Sri Sri Raja Vaaru, directed by Satish Vegesna. Sri Sri Sri Raja Vaaru is currently in the pre-production stage and has been repeatedly delayed. This project was initially intended to be Nithin’s debut film. Due to unforeseen delays, Sri Sri Sri Raja Vaaru’s release was postponed, prompting Nithin to make his debut with other films. In August, the makers of Sri Sri Sri Raja Vaaru confirmed that the film will hit theatres during the highly anticipated Dasara festive season. Sri Vedaakshara Movies has backed this film.
